also, I just looked and according to FL 2006 384.30 persons over 13 yrs of age can consent to mental health treatment w/ the exception of psychiatric drugs and “other somatic methods” until vists exceed once a week, at which point parental consent is required. /law nerd
Sounds peachy keen, but my mom isnt into that whole therapy thingy.
she doesn’t have to be? if you can get therapy w/in your price range (i don’t know anything about where you are in fl but there might be somewhere that does free counselling for youths) she doesn’t have to consent to your treatment — it’s probably technically illegal for her to interfere with it, actually.
that said, i’m sorry that she doesn’t seem to even be trying to be supportive. if you want to talk to me about stuff (just vent and crap, i don’t care) my email is on here somewhere, but it can honestly be hard to keep conversations w/ other people with eds from just becoming triggering clusterfucks. but good luck to you, and i hope the new year brings good things.
